Shirtless Male Models Test Summer Fragrances

Welcome to Gratuitous Male Objectification Week on The Cut, a celebration of guy nudity, in honor of Thursday’s release of Magic Mike (that would be the male stripper film starring Channing Tatum and featuring Matthew McConaughey). Please enjoy all of the forthcoming superfluous abs we have in store. First up: Male models rate the season’s latest scents, without their shirts on.

Each summer, an overwhelming crop of women’s fragrances hits the market, and while we could visit countless beauty counters and test them all, we decided to have male models do the legwork for us. So we asked Vincent, Tyler, and Nate of DNA Model Management to swing by our offices and give their honest take (they really spoke from the heart) on thirteen of this season’s latest perfumes. From Bulgari’s Mon Jasmin Noir L’Eau Exquise to Serge Lutens’s L’Eau Froide, these guys sniffed tons of scents to determine which ones were most appealing and which ones smelled like “the D.A. on Law & Order: SVU” (actually, those two things aren’t mutually exclusive). Continue on to watch the video. It’s worth it.
