Kick Off Bike Month with Wheels by Chanel

Bike Month kicks off today in New York City, and we couldn’t be more pumped to whip out our favorite two-wheeled accessory. Yeah, you thought we weren't bad like that, but we are. And so is Agyness Deyn. The UK papers are chock full of shots of her on her beater bike. And, you'll recall Donna Karan's campaign to encourage environmentally friendly transportation. But if that's not fashiony enough for you, hop on these designer bikes (you knew it was only a matter of time) by G-Star, Chanel, and Puma.

• For the urban rider: Bicycle-maker Cannondale collaborated with denim king G-Star to launch the Special Edition Raw, an 8-speed bike with tires that look like faux wood and a brown leather seat.

• For the luxury cruiser chick: Chanel released a limited-edition quilted bike for their Sport Collection last fall. It comes with a signature-quilted bike bag on the rear and a mega-comfy seat for easy riding. At $12,000 it's pricey, but it's Chanel, people.

• For Sporty Spice wannabes: Think your apartment can't fit a bike? Puma's limited edition bike collapses for easy storage. Plus, it glows in the dark and you can get matching clothes and handbags! Love. —Sharon Clott

The Pose That Really Needs to Stop

At left, we have models Behati Prinsloo after walking the Derek Lam show, Heidi Klum at the Kids' Choice Awards, and Tanya Dziahileva backstage at the 3.1 phillip lim show. Three gorgeous ladies, all of whom are worthy of our admiration and adoration. And yet? Apparently they all decided that since they were caught in a candid moment, they may as well throw decorum to the wind and show the cameras just how and crazy and fun they are! Rowr! Hence we have what we're going to call the Look, I'm Zany! Pose™. Let's be clear: It's not the best pose out there. We definitely encourage the world's finest mannequins to cut loose, but perhaps not in this exact position. And poor Tanya on the bottom didn't get the memo that peace signs — or are they bunny ears? — are in right now, if she's going to insist on pulling a Zany™.

Magazines Take a Walk on the Wild Side

During hectic Fashion Weeks, the shows turn into zoos, with editors clawing their way to seats and publicists grunting at the top of their lungs. Turns out so do the pages of current high-fashion glossies. Wearing Comme des Garçons and Dries Van Noten, Guinevere Van Seenus accessorizes with a monkey in April’s French Vogue. In March’s Italian Vogue, Bruce Weber captures Natalia Vodianova in Chanel couture sweetly cuddling a lamb. Most daring of all, Behati Prinsloo visits her native continent, Africa, to face off with a gazelle, in nothing less than a Dolce & Gabbana dress and Dean Harris jewelry. So, ladies, cancel your dog walkers, don your finest couture, and hit the streets. —Kendall Herbst

Some of our favorite girls really could have shot these spring editorials in their sleep and will probably inspire some … um … vivid dreams for their readers. Raquel Zimmermann, inside the pages of V, seductively slithers on pink satin sheets, almost wearing a lilac gown. What else would she wear in bed, after all? In W’s “Pinup” spread, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot photograph Daria Werbowy curled up in fuchsia Alexander McQueen heels, lace bustier, fishnets — and not much else. Siri Tollerød keeps it cute and surprisingly age appropriate in Lula, photographed by Ellen von Unwerth and styled by Leith Clark. Maybe this was what Linda Evangelista meant with that whole won’t-get-out-of-bed-for-less-than-$10,000 shtick? —Kendall Herbst

If new editorials are any indication, models were roughed up at Fashion Week. Catherine McNeil’s in a wheelchair (and Givenchy ankle boots) for March’s French Vogue. British Vogue’s April issue has Karen Elson on crutches, sporting a bandaged head. Raquel Zimmermann’s taking things to an even darker level, slipping a noose around her neck in front of Linda Evangelista in V magazine. The trend’s also jumped off the page and into reality: Erin O’Connor’s hobbling around London with a sprained ankle. So forget the Balenciaga gladiators — for spring, the only accessory you need is a bandage. —Kendall Herbst

Kiss rounded mary janes and peep-toe booties good-bye this fall. Designers have crafted high heels dagger-sharp, so brace your toes for a tight squeeze. Balenciaga’s shoes were by far the most extreme: ultramodern, formidable, and metallic. Michael Kors’ elegant, ladies-who-lunch collection was accessorized with darting pumps in colors from camel to plum, and Lanvin’s patent heels featured T-straps structured at severe angles. So, as new arrivals filter down into shops, make sure you’re pointed in the right direction. —Kendall Herbst

The Happiest Clothes on Earth

We didn’t want to notice it, but we couldn’t help ourselves. Fall runways seemed straight out of a Disney fairy tale with princess dresses galore. At Rodarte, sky-blue dresses were ethereal yet disheveled, like Alice just wandered out of the rabbit hole in spiky Louboutins. Marc Jacobs continued his sherbet-colored parade at Louis Vuitton, where the final look was a dead ringer for Cinderella’s entrance at the royal ball. And at Roberto Cavalli, the designer went so far as to top feminine and flowing dresses with glittery tiaras. Perfect for a trip to any magic kingdom. —Kendall Herbst

Birds of a Feather

Though feathers were a major fall trend last year, this season plumes have flown up into hats. At Carolina Herrera, girls looked sharp in countryside-ready plaid caps decorated with bursts of feathers and bejeweled details. James Coviello showed romantically veiled and embellished cloches in saturated color palettes. And John Galliano played with gigantically oversize knit top hats with arching feathers poking out. —Kendall Herbst

If you're not already up to your neck in fashion, this fall you will be — literally. Sculpted, architectural collars turned neutral-toned coats into loud, dramatic pieces. Maison Martin Margiela’s beige blazer featured a deep V, exposing a bare chest offset by square shoulders, while Stella McCartney’s collar offered a wraparound variation (which doubles as a wool scarf for ultimate winter protection). And at Costume National, the funnel carved into a long black coat delicately drew attention to the face of Mariacarla Boscono. For fall, bundling up means you’ve got to go big. —Sharon Clott

Right to Bare Arms

Paris designers must be banking on a globally warmed fall season, as their cocktail dresses flashed unexpected bits of skin. In what was an otherwise oversize, cozy collection, Stella McCartney showed a foxy, metallic beaded number, with chains framing the shoulder. Nicolas Ghesquière spiced up an otherwise basic LBD with armbands instead of sleeves. And Givenchy's pastel frock, paired with gold gladiators, had a distinct Xena, Warrior Princess feel. —Kendall Herbst
