I ate a bagel from the Bagelsmith — I get egg whites and cheese on an everything bagel. I’m trying to stay in shape, considering my job and all. I also had a coffee and an orange juice. Later I had a few bites of orange chicken from Red House on Grand Street in Williamsburg. I like their Chinese food. I’m going to meet my friend later for dinner at the Organic Grill on St. Marks.

I had coffee in the morning. For lunch I went to Joe’s Busy Corner, one of my favorite places. I got a sandwich with mozzarella, roasted red peppers, balsamic vinegar, and pesto. I got this thing of green olives with garlic in the middle. After midnight I ordered pierogis and a hummus platter from Anytime.
Monday, January 1
I slept all day. Around 5 p.m. I went to Spike Hill on Bedford and had a veggie burger and eight Bloody Marys.
Sunday, December 31
I flew in from L.A. The first thing I did was get an everything bagel with egg whites and cheese bagel from Bagelsmith. Then I went out. Every year Burning Angel does a party with D.J. Jess of Trash; I had kamikaze shots, some vodka and cranberry, some champagne. At 7:30 a.m. I stopped at this little deli on Delancey and got my guilty-pleasure cheese sandwich.
Saturday, December 30
I had some fruit and cottage cheese. I think I had some yogurt, too, with one of those granola-crunch things in it. I went to Subway and got a turkey sandwich. On the nights I don’t feel like making food in L.A., I tend to get fast food. I never ate fast food until I started going to L.A. As told to Daniel Maurer
