While the Post ran a story yesterday focusing on Homeslice West’s secret dinners in Upper West Side apartments, the dinner-club scene is going to get a lot glitzier when Brit socialite Tamsin Lonsdale brings her London “supper club” to New York. Ahead of a launch party later this month, Lonsdale has already held recruiting dinners at Indochine, La Esquina, and Gemma — with more planned at Palma and the new Cantina. At the dinners, current members have entertained friends who might be willing to pay a $750 fee to be invited to what a spokesman (yes, a dinner club has hired a PR firm) tells us will eventually be twelve events a month (some of them requiring purchase of additional tickets).

Want to get in on it? Of course you do! But you’ll have to be referred by at least two current members (strict, much?), and keep in mind that only 25 percent of applicants get into the London club. (There are currently 300 NYC members — the goal is to match the London club’s 1,000.) Obviously you’re going to want to cozy up to some of the folks who attended Joey Jalleo’s recent recruiting dinner (and here’s where we drop the names): Mickey Boardman; fashion designer Andrew Buckler, Sarah Cristobal, Sarah Sophie Flicker, Swarovski’s David Gruning, Peter Knell, Elisa Lipsky-Karasz, Martin Marks, Hudson Morgan, Kate Schelter, Luigi Tadini, Jennifer Missoni, and Tommaso Cardile. Wait a minute: Hudson Morgan? Mickey Boardman? We thought no media was allowed!
