Unruly Patrons Force Mas (Farmhouse) to Cut Late-Night Hours

This is why we can't have nice things.Photo: Shanna Ravindra
We decided to close down late-night basically because we want to focus what we’re best at. We had a Jekyll and Hyde thing going where after midnight we’d dumb down the restaurant. We kind of felt like, "Why are we showing this different side? Let’s just focus on our strength." We also had problems with people getting drunk, knocking over tables, and throwing up. In our dining room we have a lot of precious, expensive things. It was frustrating for me. This isn’t the crowd we want in here. I wanted to focus on what we do during dinner and do that the best we can. We made a lot revenue being open late, so a concession I made with my investors was to be open on Sunday.
In still more Mas news, the restaurant will now be capitalizing the word (Farmhouse). Just kidding! Scared you, though, didn’t we?
*Which means we need a new one. Tell us why you love New York.
