Rumor has it that the demise of Passerby is imminent. Former resident D.J. Manderson has e-mailed friends informing them that he’ll be flying in to spin there on next Friday, and that its last night will be this next Saturday (which would officially leave downtown scenesters with no reason to cross 14th Street). But Alex Zachary at Gavin Brown Enterprise tells us that as far as he knows, a date hasn’t yet been set. Of course, he might just be trying to make sure the tiny bar doesn’t get overrun, which is why we suggest you pay your respects during the week and leave the weekend to those who know what “Pussy Juice” is (don’t ask).
