We hope it won’t be too much of a blow to David Chang & Co., but it turns out that Elvis Costello’s new album, Momofuku, doesn’t actually refer to the chef’s burgeoning restaurant empire, after all. According to VH1, the name “is not related to the hip New York restaurant Momofuku Noodle Bar, bur rather ‘a tribute to Momofuku Ando, the inventor of the cup noodle. Like so many things in this world of wonders, all we had to do to make this record was add water.’” Whereas, of course, if it had been our Momofuku, they would have had to add pork broth.
