Food Sculpture Goes From Cute to Creepy

The art of food carving has, for no particular reason, been in the news lately: The Times has a video about a watermelon sculptor, and now Epi-Log links to a gallery of carved foods so strange that we couldn't resist passing it along. Some of the food sculptures, which are posted on a blog called Fabulously 40 and Beyond, are just freakishly well done, but others, like this image of a suicidal orange walking to its doom in a food processor, suggest the kind of disordered mind that alone is capable of genius. Whoever created these sculptures (neither blog credits a sculptor) we salute you!
