A reader wrote in to call our attention to this Craigslist ad:

-KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SHAKE SHACK, BURGER JOINT AND CORNER BISTRO.
-HAVE NYC COOKING EXPERIENCE
-POSSESS A CULINARY SCHOOL DEGREE
-WANT TO DO FOR BURGERS WHAT D. CHANG DID FOR PORK AND NOODLES

Now this is a Craigslist post we can thoroughly approve of. (Take note, Ko-thario.) We have a strong hunch that this ad is for the soon-to-open Black Iron Burger Shop, on East 5th Street. But we have to wonder at the conflicting qualifications. Shake Shack, Burger Joint, and Corner Bistro are so overpublicized that only a vegan would be unable to tell them apart. As for New York City cooking experience and a culinary degree, what for? Cooking hamburgers is its own art; you’d do better to teach someone to do it from scratch than to ask him to unlearn the tricks he picked up on the line at Picholine. Finally, how does a résumé demonstrate that you are a fun beer lover who is also serious? We hope the burgers make more sense than the ad.
