Ruby Tuesday Gives Up the Exploding-Restaurant Gig

As if it weren’t dispiriting enough that the “Montauk monster” may have been a viral-marketing scheme, Ruby Tuesday has released a new video admitting they were just joshing when they blew up a restaurant named Cheeky’s instead of the last old-style Ruby Tuesday building. Cheeky’s, they’ve revealed, was a scale model, and the demo scene was a combination of actors and computer graphics. Who would’ve thunk it? We’ll start caring about this as soon as their apology for the supposed ruse is matched with a coupon for some sizzling fajitas…
