Archipelago to Serve French-Japanese in the Old Dani Space

9/22/08 at 5:02 PM

Archipelago, from Morimoto alum Hisanobu Osaka, officially opens in the old Dani space on Monday, but the restaurant will serve dinner to walk-ins Thursday through Saturday. Plus: We've got the menu! Osaka prepares Japanese ingredients with French cooking methods, leading to dishes like panna cotta with lobster and fresh uni, and chicken roulade with mustard panko. The menu skews Italian with egg custard paired with sticky-rice risotto and squid-ink soba with tomato water. Photographs of the new space haven't been released yet, but if you stop in, get a good look at the restaurant's manga mural. It was painted by Japanese manga artist Hiroki Otsuka.
