As you can see from Eater’s images, Double Crown turned out quite nicely, but at least one person isn’t happy. Vanity Fair contributing editor Andrew Hearst has updated his Facebook page with this: “New place just opened on Bowery and Bleecker where Manahatta [sic] used to be — and they got rid of the huge, amazing RESTAURANT sign. Idiots!” First of all, guy — there’s a giant LOUNGE sign outside of Mannahatta’s new location down the block. And second of all — how dare you question AvroKO! I mean, seriously! Get back to us when you have a book, buddy!
