We’ve now heard more about what happened at Boucarou on Monday morning. According to someone on the scene, sporadic power outages caused disgruntlement at the (aptly named, it seems) “Dangerously Sexy” hip-hop party. After last call, the crowd was herded onto the street — there was a disagreement on the sidewalk and shots were fired. According to our source, someone was shot in the leg but declined to press charges. Police, however, are still investigating Boucarou’s security tapes. Not a good development for the lounge, which is still trying to get permission from the city to open its expensive retractable ceiling. No matter, it sounds like this party was doing a pretty good job of raising the roof.
