The mid-October opening of JetBlue's new terminal at JFK airport draws ever nearer, and stats about the food and beverage situation continue to emerge. The project's total tab is an impressive $45 million for 22 different eating and drinking locations. But what really matters when you're about to get on a plane: Approximately 50 different kinds of beer and 400 different varieties of wine will be on offer. Half of the wines are available by the glass, 150 of them come as splits and, sadly, none of them are available to go. At the food market, meanwhile, there will be 1,000 different edible options, among them "organic, vegan, kosher, all-natural, no-sugar, and gluten-free" items. And, as a permanent reminder that we must never forget our airport-dining roots, Dunkin' Donuts and Cheeburger, Cheeburger are also on the premises.
