The Eldridge Has Major Wood
9/15/08 at 11:05 AM
Chi Chi 212 has the Eldridge’s full, unadulterated drink menu for you, and as you’ll see, the signature drink is $32. The menu itself, as noted before, is printed on wood, but what kind? You’ll have to turn to the back of Matt Levine’s business card for that: As you can see, it’s made of two-ply cherry. Why does this remind us of the business-card scene in American Psycho: “How’d a nitwit like you get so tasteful?” Update: Mr. Levine tells us the menus, which are laser-engraved, are actually made out of oak. And now you know.
