The Italian designer Alessi — now somewhat infamous for making those ”Mandarin” juicers that Pinkberry dropped — is now minus another partner. Their Soho store’s in-house café is no longer run by Joe, and is instead serving coffee, panini, and pastries from Tarallucci e Vino. You can get an idea of the menu here, but forget about the “e vino” part, since the shop isn’t serving wine. Then again, probably a good thing if you don’t want to sober up regretting the purchase of a $265 teakettle.
