Chowhounders have been uncharacteristically mum about the opening night of Tom: Tuesday Dinner (really? No one was twittering or live-blogging the meal from their iPhone?), but Pascale Le Draoulec of Forbes was in the house. His Her assessment, which doesn’t go into much detail about the $150 meal other than saying it was “that good,” is that, starting with a duck heart wrapped in pancetta, “Colicchio is clearly making room for artistry in his cooking again.” Though Tom Tom didn’t break a sweat while cooking to The Band’s Basement Tapes, he’s said to have had “some serious jitters beforehand — especially since none of the dishes had been given a dry run.”
