Gael Greene is getting an earful from the current and former partners of Michael “Bao” Huynh, whom she calls “the Vietnamese Don Juan of bun and pho” (he gets around, see). Asked whether he isn’t wary of the roving chef, Steve Scher of Main Street Partners says he's made it work with a “bad boy” before: “Alex Garcia has a checkered past, but he keeps coming back to Calle Ocho and it’s busier than ever. I am not going to stop him from pursuing other ventures if I’m not willing to do them.” Meanwhile, Chris Johnson, Huynh’s spurned former backer at Bao 111 and Bao Noodles, seems concerned that BarBao might be a trademark violation, and is discussing it with his lawyer. Will a custody battle ensue?
