We’re hearing a rumor that Ghenet, the Ethiopian restaurant that has been on Mulberry Street for over a decade, has been given a week to vacate, and may be taking taken to court by the landlord (the William Gottlieb estate) to court. Ghenet hasn’t given us comment (an employee who answered the phone a week ago would only say "it's still not decided" when asked about the future of the restaurant), but this would be sad news if true.
