Platt to the Future

10/24/08 at 2:34 PM

Our own Adam Platt is the latest person to accuse his boy Cutlets of taking the Feedbag’s name from him, in an audio snippet that finds the two trading barbs about the future of fine dining. Cutty believes diners will continue to show off their money, while Platty thinks grand dining is facing its death knell, and that “people who would come to a place like Daniel and buy a $4,000 bottle of wine are now going to go into Daniel and maybe not buy any wine at all.” As for what Ozersky lauds as “old-time, Froggie-style food,” Platt says it’s “dead as a doorknob.” [Feedbag]
