We heard yesterday that the politics of hotel restaurants had a good deal to do with Christopher Lee’s departure from Gilt at the Plaza, and now the ‘bag is hearing that the union had something to do with Adour chef Tony Esnault’s departure: “We’re getting it from multiple sources that Tony Esnault’s dismissal from Adour had a proximate cause: an incensed Union local, which was demanding his head, and threatening to picket the restaurant if he didn’t go.” [Feedbag]
