Izakaya Ten is no stranger to change — it used to be the French-Korean restaurant D’Or Ahn and then a sushi spot, Anzu. Now it’s adding a yakitori menu and, as you can see from the slideshow, the dining room has gotten a funky makeover via a manga mural and more casual banquette seating. The $7 to $8 grilled skewers include organic chicken, Berkshire pork belly, short rib, mushrooms, and vegetables such as okra. To compliment them, there’s a larger sake and shochu selection, and, starting today, expanded hours: 5 p.m. to midnight from Monday through Wednesday, till 3 a.m. from Thursday through Saturday, and till 10 p.m. on Sunday. You might want to hit the place on Tuesday: That's when you get $20 off the price of a bottle, which, in authentic Japanese fashion, can be stored behind the bar for future use.
