On the heels of Boqueria opening for lunch (the dinner menu, plus daily specials, are now being served from noon to midnight), Mercat tells us it too will be serving almuerzo from noon to 3 p.m.: The menu (below) consists of media raciónes of dinner items as well as Spanish sandwiches. And Stumptown roasters will be sprucing up the coffee program (a welcome addition to those new cocktails). While we’re on the subject, the Oak Room will be serving breakfast as of January 1. We’re told that menu (still in the works) will include smoked salmon and charcuterie, Viennoiseries and pastries, eggs and omelettes, French crêpes, pancakes and waffles, granola, quinoa, and muesli.
