NYC Icy Leaves Manhattan, But May Come Back

There was confusion and despair when Italian ice-cream maker NYC Icy closed its East Village location a few years ago, and now it’s heartbreak all over again. Life With Food and Drink reports that the Hell’s Kitchen location, which opened this summer, is kaput. But take solace — the store has always been something of a seasonal pop-up operation, and someone at the Kensington location (still open and serving, despite recent concerns about its future) just told us the company may return to Manhattan in May. A final decision has yet to be made.
