Shang opens tonight in the Thompson LES, but it’ll be a while before a restaurant comes to that other hotly anticipated hotel, the Standard. The meatpacking behemoth opens next week for friends-and-family bookings, but a reservationist tells us the public bar areas won’t open till April of next year, and no decision has been made as to what sort of cuisine the restaurant will serve.
