You’ll Never Forget Ponty Bistro (Unless You Leave Really Drunk)
12/19/08 at 11:02 AM
We’re not sure why exactly we're so charmed by this signage outside Ponty Bistro, a debut venture from Senegalese chef Elhadji Cisse (Mercer Kitchen, Daniel Boulud) and his cousin, Cheikh, that describes itself as an “upscale French-African restaurant for a recession budget.” (You can find the menu here.) But somehow the words “YOU WON’T FORGET IT EVER” have us determined to stop in soon. Elhadji and Cheikh seem like our kind of guys.
