An Early Look at Harbour, Opening in Hudson Square Next Month

If you’re in need of a moment of Zen, check out this video of Michael Ayoub (who happens to be the owner of pizzerias Cronkite and Fornino) creating a massive chandelier that will be the centerpiece of Harbour (the venue that promoters Bill Spector and Bugsy were calling Harbour Drive) when it opens next month at 290 Hudson Street. The video also offers a first glimpse of Harbour’s vaguely yacht-themed interior. The main owner here is Richard Schaeffer, a businessman, and his chef is Joe Isidori, who spent six years as the executive chef of Donald Trump’s group before moving to Vegas, where he earned a Michelin star as the exec chef at DJT. Isidori has a passion for sustainable seafood and his concept here is “urban market cuisine”— which translates to braised chuck steak, razor clams, and Chinook salmon, among other things. There’ll be a $45 prix fixe and entrees will range from $19-$25 (cocktails: $9-$12). More as the menu and room come together.
