City Harvest held its annual fund-raiser last night, like Food Bank for New York did the night before. At Cipriani 42nd Street, Eric Ripert, Rachael Ray, and Dana Cowin, among others, turned out to receive crystal-delivery-truck awards (not a metaphor, that’s what they got) and eat bad food for a good cause. At the live auction, a private at-home dinner party cooked by Ripert was the top-grossing item, at $45,000. Surfing and dinner in the Hamptons with Ditch Plains’ Marc Murphy raked in $14,000; lunch and a cooking class with Jean-Georges at Nougatine went for $12,000; and a evening of wine, cheese, and pastry at Le Bernardin fetched $10,000. An L.A. food-and-baseball weekend with emcee David Arquette sold for $12,000. Ripert bid on the Jean-Georges cooking class, but topped out at $6,000.
