Celebrate Raquel Welch's Beauty

Raquel Welch/MAC Beauty Icon dinner. Gilt Restaurant at the New York Palace Hotel, 455 Madison Ave., nr. 49th St., 7 p.m. MAC is holding this event, expected to be attended by Petra Nemcova, Emmy Rossum, Bridget Moynahan, Tim Gunn, and others. It's honoring Raquel Welch for literally nothing except being hot. A lot of other hot people will be there, and given its location across the street from New York's offices, we may just saunter over to creepily ogle the guests in person.

"Icons of the Meatpacking District" exhibit opening. Theory store, 38 Gansevoort St., nr. Ninth Ave., 6:30 p.m. The exhibit from painter Ruth Ro features portraits of "leading figures in the Meatpacking District"; André Balazs, Diane von Furstenberg, Christine Quinn, and other slated to attend. What with this and the dinner Raquel Welch is getting for being good-looking, we don't think topics like German philosophy and particle physics will be thrown around a lot on the party circuit tonight.
New Yorkers for Children Network to Success event. NYU's Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Sq. S., nr. Thompson St. Damon Dash and Chris Lighty are expected, among many others. Anyone who does not attend this event, in fact, is against children. Even hot Raquel Welch.
