De Niro and Bowie, Kushner and Trump, Wenner and Nye Make Nice

Robert De Niro and David Bowie were cordial at Vanity Fair's party for the Tribeca Film Festival, despite reports that De Niro is mad that Bowie's High Line Festival comes right after Tribeca. Also at the party: "Friends" Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump (as we told you yesterday). And Jann Wenner, with cuckolded boyfriend Matt Nye. Amy Sacco will open a hotel in the financial district. CBS's Bob Schieffer and Lesley Stahl may have been behind a hit piece on Katie Couric in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Speaking of Couric, her cell-phone ringtone is the Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha." Bill Clinton is going to a party at Gabriel Byrne's house to fund-raise for Hillary. Les Moonves went to go see his son's rock band play at the Plumm.

Alec Baldwin is so distraught over the phone message he left his daughter that he wants to quit 30 Rock. Rudy Giuliani's daughter, Caroline, will go to Harvard. Phil Spector has trash-talked a lot of musicians, and now none are showing him support in his murder trial. Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire rolls with an entourage of ten wherever he goes. Britney Spears has been colluding with the paparazzi so they can get flattering pics. Russell Crowe talks up Brian Grazer in the Time 100 issue. Cashmere Mafia, from Sex and the City producer Darren Star, will feature lots of clothes and handbags. Four days allegedly passed before French authorities started looking for John Galliano's right-hand man at Dior, Stephen Robinson, who had died of a heart attack in his apartment. Richard Nixon's son-in-law saw Frost/Nixon, liked it. Cindy Adams says that Rosie's departure from The View was strictly a money thing.
