If you could design your own figure-skating outfit, what would it be?
Carson: I did that once on an episode of Queer Eye. It was for this really hot skater guy, who wasn’t gay, which was so weird. I would do a Roberto Cavalli number. There was some German skater at the last Olympics who had the best outfits. Unfortunately, she sucked. But her outfits should have won, because they were all Cavalli.
Is there any homophobia left in figure skating?
Johnny: Of course. You can’t be yourself and get the result that you want. There are people born in the forties and fifties that are judging us. They can’t compare their lives to ours. Carson: Isn’t that crazy? Homophobia in figure skating! What next, homophobia in rhythmic gymnastics?! I’m outraged!
Want to try any other Olympic sports?
Johnny: Diving. Carson: Really? That’s so Greg Louganis of you! —Justin Ravitz
