Wright is, roughly, the real-life analogue to Alec Baldwin's character on 30 Rock. No word on what kind of voice-mail messages Wright leaves for his kids.

• National Corporate Theatre Fund gala. Tavern on the Green, 67 Central Park W., nr. 67th St., 6:30 p.m. Carey Perloff (artistic director of the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco) and Elaine Stritch will be honored. Nathan Lane, David Hyde Pierce, and Olympia Dukakis will do the honoring. But who will be dishonored?
