• Don Imus may not have gotten that full $20 million; no one knows where he's going to work next; and he may have to pay an unspecified amount to settle a defamation suit brought by a Rutgers player. Oh my! [NYT, AP via NYT]
• One staffer at Portfolio compared editor-in-chief Joanne Lipman to the captain in Mutiny on the Bounty who gets thrown over board, confirming the total geekdom of staffers at Portfolio. [NYP]

• Apparently Zachary Michaelson, the cover boy for Trader Monthly's "30 Under 30" currently doing TV publicity rounds, is a phony. He no longer works at Fortress, as he had claimed, and he's not a "portfolio manager." But he does sleep at his desk! [DealBreaker]
• Martin Scorsese sold his East Side townhouse to Rodney M. Schiffer, a managing director at one of Credit Suisse's lending arms, who called it "really not that great." [NYO]

• A summer associate at the New York office of Clifford Chance apparently took a chunk out of a few fellow lawyers — literally. She wrote an e-mail to her fellow summers apologizing if she bit anyone at a corporate reception and assured them that she is not rabid. [Above the Law]
• The founders of the now-defunct Veras hedge funds, brought down by Eliot Spitzer and the SEC, are suing Akin Gump for a whopping $4.4 billion. [New York Law Journal]

FASHION
• Kohl's is so nervous about the success of Vera Wang's new line that it won't talk to the press. [Racked]

• Badgley Mischka have tapped Teri Hatcher as their new model, in hopes of appealing to older, skinnier audiences. [Flypaper]
