It's been empty for over a year, but this week, demolition began at 313-315 Bowery, the former home of CBGB. Whatever ends up going here — a Starbucks, a bar serving artisanal cocktails, a boutique selling $500 shirts — everyone is probably going to reflexively hate it for a good little while, and isn't that sort of, well, punk?
