A Fresh New Spokesman for Paterson

David Paterson is losing Christine Anderson, the communications director that he inherited from Eliot Spitzer, and hiring a glamorous new one for an impressive $175,000 a year. (Really, no press person should ever have to go through what Anderson went through with Spitzer and Paterson both last month. Our heads nearly exploded trying to write about the scandals — imagine trying to come up with excuses for them!) The replacement is 28-year-old whiz kid Risa Heller, who was formerly Chuck Schumer's tireless spokesman. Anderson will stay on for a while as an adviser. Look how happy Risa is in this photo! Sure, sure — it's all fun and games when you get into the job after someone else explains all those trips to the Days Inn.
