Reverend Wright Was Out for Revenge

Today's Post has exclusive insight from Reverend Jeremiah Wright's inner circle, and according to the tabloid, the reasons for the preacher's aggressive return to the public eye recently might be just as self-centered and petty as they seemed. In fact, the paper says that he "delights" in getting his revenge on the "traitor." "[For Barack to say] he wasn't familiar with what Jeremiah had said, that he may have missed church on this day or that and didn't hear what Jeremiah said, this is seen by Jeremiah as nonsense and betrayal," said their source. "Jeremiah is trying to defend his congregation and the work of his ministry by saying what he is saying now." The paper doesn’t say what Wright is defending his church from (Barack's not attending sometimes? The idea that he might not have meant to say that the American government is a terrorist body?), but it's clear Wright knew exactly what his statements would do to his former congregant's presidential candidacy. "Jeremiah doesn't care if he derails Obama's candidacy or not," the source told the Post. "He knows what he's doing." According to the same Wright pal, the reverend has been bitter and feeling spurned ever since Obama didn't ask him to be onstage when he publicly announced his campaign. Apparently, hell hath no fury like a pastor scorned.
