The female stars of Sex and the City — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis — spent most of last night's premiere penned in by screaming people and 40,000 tons of camera equipment. But David Eigenberg, who plays Steve, was just kind of standing around. We ambled over and asked what he'd thought of the movie. "I just saw the last half-hour," he shrugged, in a Steve-ish manner. "I don't like seeing myself. So I skipped out. But I tell you, my wife cried when [spoiler redacted for your own good, ladies] on the Brooklyn Bridge. At least she's not jealous." Wait, rewind for a second: He skipped out on the Movie Event of the Season? A movie people were starving and clamoring to get into? And wait: He wasn't the least bit curious about how this movie that he was in turned out, or whether he looked fatter or older onscreen? Did he ever even watch the show? "No, I've never watched the television show," David/Steve said matter-of-factly. "When we had premieres for the new seasons, I would always duck out. One year I was sitting next to Kim Cattrall and she tried to hold me in my seat. I said, 'I'm not watching myself!' This is all so crazy. You have to divorce yourself from all this" — he waved his hands around —"I don't know what all this hoopla is." —Jada Yuan
