Bill Clinton: ‘This May Be the Last Day I’m Ever Involved in a Campaign’

Earlier today Bill Clinton dropped a bombshell: "I want to say also that this may be the last day I'm ever involved in a campaign of this kind," he said in a stump speech in South Dakota. "I thought I was out of politics, till Hillary decided to run," he added. "But it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to go around and campaign for her for president." After a day of speculation on what the Clinton campaign will do now, it's perhaps the strongest indication yet that the senator will bow out tomorrow. She's set to watch the returns at home in Chappaqua, New York, with her husband.

We know better than to count out Hillary Clinton, and we know it's possible for a seemingly simple sentence from Bill to mean a dozen different things. Either way, now all we can think about is what the living room of that house will be like tomorrow evening, as those potentially devastating primary results come rolling in and the press begins their inevitable pile-on. For the tenth time. Many people would probably wish to be a fly on the wall, but for once, we don't think we're one of them.
