Parents Television Council Unimpressed by New ‘Gossip Girl’ Ads

For one of their new, hilariously soft-porny promos for Gossip Girl, the CW appropriated the Parents Television Council's declaration that the show is "Mind-Blowingly Inappropriate," splashing the words across Nate's hunky, naked, smooth, firm, hairless, taut, lightly bisque-colored chest. Na na, they must have thought. We're so clever. Take that, prudes.

But, instead, the PTC was all Oh really, CW? Two can play that game.

"I think it reeks of desperation, if they have to position themselves as so edgy and so controversial that they've been called out by us," PTC director of communications Melissa Henson sniffed to the AP. Well, zing. So, Melissa, you coming for yogurt on the steps?
