After a three-hour bipartisan meeting today, a bailout plan was approved to address the current economic crisis. "We believe we are prepared to act expeditiously on a package … and send a message to the markets," said Banking Committee chairman Chris Dodd. The agreement is currently being put into legislative wording and is expected to reach the president's desk in a few days.
