Bush Delivers Another Brief, Content-Free Press Conference
9/26/08 at 9:50 AM
"Anytime you have a plan this big that is moving this quickly that requires legal approval it creates challenges," President Bush said just now at the White House, referring to stalled congressional talks on the federal bailout plan. "Members want to be heard, they want to be able to express their opinions, and they should be allowed to express their opinions," he added, presumably defending the holdups on the part of John McCain and House Republicans. "The legislative process is sometimes not very pretty, but we are going to get a package fast. We will rise to the occasion."
