"I'm not a sideshow. I'm a person," Eduardo Arrocha, a.k.a. Eak the Geek, the tattooed entertainer who has impressed crowds on the Coney Island boardwalk for fifteen years, told AM New York today. "I want to be part of the main act." This fall, Eak has retired his trademark "Bed of Nails Sandwich" stunt for good, and embarked on a new adventure: He's enrolled as a law student at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Classes don't start until Tuesday, but so far he's only had a little difficulty adjusting: "I have to learn to tie a tie knot," he said. "I've never had to tie a tie before."

"I know it sounds weird, but I want to be a freak lawyer," he said. "I hope to have a little office in New York and work with the alternative people … all the so-called riff-raff, to give them legal representation that is not judgmental."

Shockingly, this is not a reality show. Yet.
