The President Offers Comforting Words About the Economy During Our Time of Need

  • 9/18/08 at 10:40 AM

Yeah, NOT: Outgoing President George W. Bush just made a statement about how the markets are dealing with "serious challenges" and how his administration is on top of it. It was approximately two minutes long, and though he was reading closely from notes he stumbled over his words and put all the emPHAsis on the wrong syllABles. He is so checked out, it's not even funny at all. However, he has canceled his travels and will be in Washington "closely monitoring the situation" (i.e. kicking back with a few cold ones).
