A well-loved, lush and tall Norway maple was (perhaps mistakenly) chopped down in Park Slope, on 6th Avenue between President and Carroll, this week. "Was the arborcide a case of mistaken tree identity?" asks blogger Jenny 8. Lee. You see? The Times blogs do make the paper more human. [NYT]
