Columbia and Harlem Make Nice Together on Apollo Project

With all the tension between Columbia and Harlem over the school's seventeen-acre expansion in the neighborhood, it's nice to hear they'll be collaborating on something for once. Planned as part of the Apollo Theater's 75th birthday next year, the Apollo Theater Oral History Project will archive and feature interviews with the performers and cultural figures behind the history of the venue that launched legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Stevie Wonder, and Smokey Robinson.
