‘Forbes’ Does Oprah-Style Cover to Soothe the Masses

When the economy tanked, Forbes magazine decided to put company chairman and editor Steve Forbes on the cover because they thought it would be "calming," according to the Times. "If sensible rescue efforts continue — and they will — the immediate crisis will quickly pass," Forbes says inside. (But just in case, the magazine has "How to Make Your Own Sweaters Now That You Can't Afford Imported Cashmere" and "Rachael Ray's Recipe for the Best Macaroni and Cheese Ever" lined up for the next issue.)
