Slopies Turn On Berkeley Carroll School

Park Slope's private K-12 Berkeley Carroll School, which charges up to $29,000 a year in tuition, is so not feeling the love from its neighbors right now. First, there's an uproar that the school is trying to evict from its property a couple who've lived there and paid $150 in rent since forever. (Though many folks think they should've saved enough to move by now.) Then the school summarily closed its day-care program, apparently letting go of eighteen staffers without severance. "What a shameful display by such a community based school," writes a Slopie on Gowanus Lounge. [Gowanus Lounge]
