Luxury goods are the first to go in a downturn, and thus the media empire Candace Bushnell built out of $500 shoes and pink cocktails is taking a drubbing at the moment. Yesterday Lipstick Jungle, the show based on her novel, was canceled, and now Sirius has discontinued the radio show she's apparently been hosting weekly. We have no doubt Bushnell will bounce back, however. In a few months we'll be clamoring for a book about four sassy broads who meet in the breadlines. [Mixed Media/Portfolio]
