Many residents of quaint City Island are horrified by the new bridge the city wants to build to connect the island to the Bronx mainland. Its 150-foot tower is too big for a place where buildings can't exceed three stories, folks in this seafood haven carp (hahaha!). We actually think it's kind of pretty and ship-evoking and appropriate. Do you agree? City Islanders, what do you think? [NYT]
