The rumors were true: Obama has asked the high-ranking Democratic representative from Illinois to serve as his chief of staff, and Emanuel is "strongly considering" accepting. All within 24 hours of victory! It's going to be an administration of people with exotic-sounding names! Bill Richardson is screwed. [Fix/WP]
Update: The Huffington Post is reporting he's accepted the position.
